The technology
ASSURE is a biodegradable controlled-release platform that manages how active compounds are delivered over time.
Instead of releasing an active all at once, our fibre-based material holds it and releases it gradually. By adapting the material we can control how quickly the active moves into its surroundings.
This allows us to create release profiles ranging from hours to weeks, depending on the compound and the application.
The same platform can therefore be used across different industries, from crop protection and food preservation to humidity control and oxygen scavenging.
How controlled release works
Conventional delivery often releases too much, too quickly. The concentration rises above the effective range, then rapidly falls below it. This leads to waste, inconsistent performance, and repeated application.

Our material regulates how quickly the active is released, keeping the concentration within the effective range for much longer. Instead of a short, uncontrolled peak, the active is delivered gradually and consistently over time.
